Recapture that elusive glow of youth with an FDA-approved filler
While most of us associate the aging process with wrinkles, fine lines and loose skin, the loss of facial volume can be just as devastating to the appearance, causing one to look tired, depleted and disheveled. The youthful fat that once buffered against indentations now gives way to marionette lines, nasolabial folds and sagging jowls.
Juvederm Ultra Plus works to fill in these embarrassing lines, smoothing the skin while boosting diminishing volume. It relies on the power of hyaluronic acid to restore volume, and is formulated with lidocaine, a local anesthetic that ensures total patient comfort during the procedure.
Juvederm Ultra Plus has no downtime, and most clients find they can return to their regularly scheduled activities right away. When possible, Dr. Karam suggests that you avoid vigorous exercise, exposure to the sun and alcohol directly after your appointment.
Results are generally seen right after your injections; however, it may take up to two weeks for all attending redness and swelling to completely disappear. Most patients find their Juvederm Ultra Plus changes last up to 12 months. Dr. Karam can also help you to maintain your results longer through regular follow up visits.
Dr. Karam, who is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and American Board of Otolaryngology, offers services in San Diego County including San Diego, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Carmel Valley, Encinitas, Rancho Bernardo and La Jolla in Southern California.
