Providing a safe, serene, and easily accessible place to recover was an essential part of supporting that journey. The Solana Beach Recovery Retreat was created to meet those needs, offering comfort, privacy, and convenience during the most important phase of healing.

A Quiet, Coastal Setting

The retreat is located just one block from the beach in an upscale, residential neighborhood known for its safety and tranquility. It is approximately a 15-minute drive from Dr. Karam’s practice, allowing for easy access to post-operative appointments. This setting provides a peaceful atmosphere without sacrificing proximity to care.

A Comfortable Place to Rest and Recover

The Solana Beach Recovery Retreat is fully furnished and equipped with amenities selected specifically for post-surgical comfort. Retreat features include:

  • Two bedrooms and two bathrooms
  • Approximately 1,093 square feet of living space
  • Light-filled interiors with open patios and yard areas
  • Close proximity to the beach
  • Quiet, residential surroundings
  • Central location with convenient freeway access
  • Short drive to the surgical center

Come for the Surgery, Stay for the Serenity

Recovery is not just about healing; it’s about minimizing stress and allowing the body the time and space it needs to recover well. The retreat offers a calm environment where patients can focus fully on rest and recuperation.

Additional Support Services

In addition to the retreat itself, patients may choose to arrange additional support services through preselected providers familiar with post-operative facial surgery care. These providers are independent and manage their own scheduling. Because availability can be limited, patients are encouraged to reach out shortly after surgery is scheduled.

Post-Operative Nursing Care

For safety, all patients must be accompanied by an adult for the first 24 hours following surgery. For those traveling alone or without local support, experienced post-operative nursing care is available. Post-care nursing services may include:

  • Transportation from the surgical center to the recovery retreat
  • Transportation to the morning post-operative appointment
  • Dressing changes
  • Medication tracking and documentation
  • Assistance with meals and hydration
  • Communication with family or caregivers

Dedicated Transportation Support

Patients who require safe, reliable transportation during recovery may arrange for a dedicated personal driver. These drivers are familiar with post-surgical care considerations and provide a more appropriate option than standard rideshare services, which are not recommended during recovery.
